One of my greatest lessons learned in Corporate America is that you always have to show your value to the company. You can think that you are a dedicated, hardworking employee; however, if no one recognizes those characteristics, your value to the company is minimized. Take the initiative to showcase your value by leading projects, actively participating in project team meetings and taking advantage of every opportunity to highlight your strengths.
Your relative net worth and importance increases when you know your value and others are able to recognize it.
